Chin Hua translates to Golden China.

The two Chinese characters that make up the logo for Chin Hua also say Golden China.

The third symbol is the Plumb Flower in Chinese it is called the Mui which is the Chef’s last name.

Chi comes from a very poverished area named Toishan.  He hiked over mountains and
finally swam to Hong Kong in search of a better life.

His full name is Chi Mui and he met and married Wing Ng in Hong Kong.

Chi apprenticed for the largest Chinese restaurant at the Port of Hong Kong.

He immigrated to the United States as a refuge stopping in Chicage and then New York.

Chi has been a chef for over 30 years now and with his wife Wing have truly found their Golden China having been at the Chin Hua location since
opening it in 1996.
